Introduction

Projects

Gather the connections, data models, APEX applications, API resources and remote files of one solution in a single place.

Projects

A project gathers everything that belongs to one solution: connections from any environment, data models, APEX applications, API workspaces, collections and requests, and remote file explorers. Project items are references. Opening one opens the original resource, and removing it from a project never deletes it. A resource appears once per project and can belong to several projects.

Projects live in the Projects section of the Workspace view.

Create a project

  • Select Create new project (+) on the Projects section row, or
  • Open the … menu of the Workspace view and choose Projects › Create new project.

Enter a name, optionally choose a folder, add resources on the other tabs and select Create project.

Edit a project

Right-click the project and choose Edit project. The dialog has one tab for the name and folder, and one tab per kind of resource:

Tab Adds
Connections Connections from any environment. Adding one does not change its environment.
Data models Data model files in this workspace.
APEX applications Applications discovered in an environment. Choose the environment first when there are several.
API resources API Client workspaces, collections and requests.
Remote files Remote file explorers and their profiles.

On each tab, select Add to choose existing resources, and use the trash icon to remove one from the project. A resource that no longer exists is marked Not found: remove it, or use Relink project resource from its node in the tree to point it at an existing resource.

Filters

Right-click a project and open Filter to Switch profile, Edit filters or Reset filters. Project filters apply to the project’s connections, like folder filters. A connection keeps those filters wherever it appears in the Workspace.

Organize and delete

  • Group projects in folders with Create folder and Move to folder.
  • Delete project removes the project after you confirm. Its resources are kept.
  • Search the Projects section from its own search row; the search does not affect the other sections.
