AI assistance grounded in your Oracle development workflow
Work with Nexo AI Agent and skills, or connect Codex, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and other MCP clients to approved database workflows. The local Nexo MCP companion keeps that access available while Visual Studio Code is closed, so your preferred AI client can continue to explore metadata, generate SQL, compile PL/SQL, investigate errors, optimize queries, and shape data models.
Database-connected AI requires Nexo Pro, a signed-in Nexo account, and MCP access enabled for each connection you want to use. AI usage is not included: use your own ChatGPT or Claude subscription, or your own API keys. · Advanced workflows vary by engine

AI development questions
No. You can use Nexo AI Agent, Codex, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or another MCP-compatible client.
No. Nexo Pro includes Nexo AI and the database connector, but the AI itself runs on your own ChatGPT or Claude subscription or your own API keys, and that provider bills its usage.
Yes. The local Nexo MCP companion can remain available after Visual Studio Code closes, using the connections and access controls you configure in Nexo.
Install the single Nexo SQL Studio plugin from Codex Plugins > Personal. Nexo installs it automatically for Claude Code CLI and Desktop Code. Claude Desktop Chat uses a separate local MCP registration, not a Claude account plugin; the Claude Code plugin is unavailable in regular Chat or claude.ai. A paid Claude plan or API billing is required for Claude Code.
Actions follow the connection permissions and confirmation policies you configure. You can separate read and write access and require approval for sensitive operations.
Database support does not imply identical features. Connections and SQL worksheets are the starting point; editing, DDL, modeling, transfers, administration and AI operations depend on the engine and workflow. Check the installed version and the relevant guide before relying on an advanced operation.
